pumpkin picking

pumpkinpatch01
Some weeks just get away from you. That was last week. After returning home from Blacksburg, I was exhausted. Really I've been exhausted for the past couple weeks but that's another story. I wanted so much to blog but I could barely motivate myself to shower. It's a new week now and I am feeling rested and rejuvenated thanks to a weekend spent at home indulging myself in binge watching T.V., eating all the food I could, cuddling with my husband and kitties, and so much more.

Like I mentioned before, I spent last weekend in Blacksburg visiting my alma mater and college friends. It was a much needed visit! Words really can't express how much I needed to see the people who helped make me the person I am today. They are truly blessings. After a lunch of sushi and dumplings on Saturday, we headed to Joes Tree Farm in Newport about 20 minutes west of Blacksburg. We went on a hay ride, made our way through a corn maze, searched for pumpkins and taste tested way too many homemade preserves and jams. It was the perfect way to spend an afternoon.

I miss my friends so so much and I hated leaving them. But I know we will always be friends and will always be able to pick up where we left off. No matter the distance. Like no time has passed. Hope you all had wonderful weekends!!

  5. That's exactly how my friends and I are - we are so far apart for such long periods of time, but always pick right up where we left off when we get together, that's what true friendship is!! I'm so glad you had a great time - it looks like so much fun, and gorgeous photos!

  8. It looks perfect and like you had a wonderful day! There are no pumpkin patches here (Germany is not really a pumpkin loving country ;), but I would love to do something like that one day!
