...wonderful time of the year! It really is, isn't it? I look forward to the month of December every year. I love the brisk, cold mornings, the smell of wood burning in the fireplace, the excitement of giving to those you love, driving through the neighborhoods searching for the best decorations, Christmas music playing in the background....I honestly cannot think of one thing I don't like about this season.
This year I luckily have nine wonderful days off for Christmas to spend with my husband and kitties. I plan to spend copious amounts of time with my family, eating like there is no tomorrow, watching a few of my favourite holiday movies (The Holiday & The Family Stone to name a couple) & remembering the true reason we celebrate at this time of the year. I am even hoping for some of that white stuff to fall from the sky. That would be the icing on the cake.
Until then, I am going to finish up the little shopping I have left to do, wrap the gifts up all pretty & patiently await the arrival of Christmas day. Which for me is one of the hardest things to do. I just want to give everyone their presents now, dangit! Hehe.
What do you look forward to the most during the holiday season?
I spy a cute little fox ;) I love this time of year for all of the above! It's even more fun when you get a second family to spend the holidays with! Oh, how I remember how much you love The Holiday.. I need to start shopping stat! Not about to fight off the crowds in a few weeks..
